Willow
Princess of Lakeway Estate
Lore
Willow can fetch almost anything. This sounds convenient until someone asks her to fetch “that thing from somewhere.” She returns with a patient expression and waits for the request to develop a noun.
The chocolate Labrador keeps Lakeway’s House of Little Lost Things in order. Buttons, feathers, lantern pieces, and small treasures wait there for their people. She can remember where each came from. Her own favorite place is beside the lake, where the water makes no requests at all.
When a traveler fails to return, Willow notices the empty place before anyone finishes counting the full ones. She follows the trail with Bella’s directions and her own excellent nose. A lost lantern lens matters. A lost friend matters more. Both usually arrive home slightly damp.
Sometimes she brings back something nobody knew was missing: a shared walk, a laugh, a reason to try the path again. These do not fit on the shelves. Willow keeps them where she keeps the rest of her good work, in the company that follows her through the door.
