Fold Moonlight

The kitchen was supposed to be closed. Miso found a square of foil, Mochi found the twine, and a little borrowed magic supplied the building skills of a six-year-old. Miso immediately requested more responsibility. Mochi requested a larger bowl.

They folded silver around the glass and fastened two small portraits above the spray. Gold and violet light turned in the bowl behind them, drifting over the counter in a low, soft fog. The kitchen timer became a charm. Time was clearly contributing very little to the project.

Fold Moonlight went into a kraft-paper box with a window and a place for every curious edge. The bottle, both cats and the timer all fit. Miso inspected the result with professional gravity. Mochi had already begun folding the instructions into something more interesting.
