Lady chases butterflies with the whole of a Great Dane. The butterfly contributes very little body to the arrangement and is still annoyingly difficult to catch.

At Frostspring Castle, she carries summer through the cold-spring gardens. Ginger runs beside her. Sparky checks the places beneath them. Dusty provides additional enthusiasm, which the expedition did not strictly need. Their affection wakes the pearly Sisterhood Stone.

When mist swallowed the crossing toward Lakeway, Lady’s Bird Howl reached the other side. JJ secured the line. Bella found the opening. Chanel waited to catch the exhausted arrivals. Lady jumped. For one brief moment, a very large dog was a rather unlikely bridge-building tool.

Together, the four princesses shared a light big enough to guide everybody across. Then they became themselves again. Lady went home to her siblings and another butterfly. She had helped two distant households reach each other. The butterfly remained unconvinced that this entitled her to special treatment.
