Baron Dreadtail

Lore

Baron Dreadtail has declared war on the window. The window has declined to attend the meeting.

Before the violet crown, he was a squirrel who lost an acorn stash. Perhaps somebody took it. Perhaps he forgot where he put it. He chose the explanation that came with more opportunities to shout. Then a strange violet acorn promised him power, and the shouting acquired a budget.

Now he claims the feeder, the fence, and the sunlight passing over both. Miso refuses the tribute. Mochi taps the glass. His younger brother, Count Dreadsprawl, guards the approach from a stool that appears to encourage lying down.

The Baron can scatter a terrifying storm of enchanted acorns. He cannot make the oak stop giving new ones away. Each autumn, the tree repeats this criticism in enormous quantities. He calls it a resource problem. Somewhere beneath his crown, a small worried squirrel still wants to be certain there will be enough.
