ARTAX loves an open road. They will also stop an entire cosmic journey because somebody left a friend behind. Speed is useful. Counting is essential.

The glossy black Mustang first learned the long distances of Texas evenings. Then the Twin Portal folded the road toward stranger skies. On one of those roads waited BEEPBOOP9000, who could calculate the way forward but was experiencing a shortage of wheels.

Now the computronomatic reads the route while ARTAX carries the company. Miso’s warm light and Mochi’s cool glow travel in the windows. An enchanted supercharger sends them galloping toward the next safe crossing. The passengers are asked to remain seated, particularly when the horizon changes its mind.

Stars stretch above the windshield. Some have been shining longer than any road has existed. ARTAX slows for a tired traveler at the verge. An immense universe has provided the scenery. Someone still has to offer the ride.
