A silver flip phone unfolded. Its screen showed two pixel cats and a progress bar labeled DREAMS. At ninety-nine percent, it stopped. Miso sat beside it. Mochi fell asleep on the manual. With the pressure removed, the final percent quietly arrived.
Sync Dreams holds that patient little shimmer in aqua and lilac. The phone charm receives no calls, but sometimes it glows when somebody stays. Connection, it turns out, does not always require anything clever to say.
