BEEPBOOP9000

Lore

BEEPBOOP9000 can draw a map of a place that refuses to remain the same shape. He would prefer the place to hold still, but he has learned to work with difficult clients.

He is BOOPBOP’s older brother and Mochi’s cosmic companion. She brings questions. He brings calculations. The questions frequently outnumber the calculations, which is how the expedition knows it is making progress.

Along the Starlit Roads, he reads the impossible turns while ARTAX carries everyone between them. A route is not finished when it looks elegant on his screen. It is finished when the companions can follow it and arrive together.

Sometimes a new world will not fit the diagram. He leaves the edge open and keeps looking. There is no shame in a map having an unfinished part. The universe has quite a few. Mochi taps the screen beside the empty space. That, naturally, is where she wants to go.
